Blueprints
Blueprints plays real American music – a combination of blues, rock, swing, boogie, r’n b and folk. Strong original songs by the band’s three talented songwriters, along with classics by great American masters, like Muddy Waters, Jimmy Reed and Louis Jordan. With solid vocals, a rock-steady rhythm section and great interplay between the guitar and piano, Blueprints delivers an unforgettable performance every time. Originally formed in 1988, they were one of central New York’s favorite blues-rock bands, playing clubs, concerts and festivals through the mid-90s. They released an all-original CD, “House of Cards,” in 1991, receiving two SAMMY nominations, for Best CD and Producer. Returning since 2004 after a long hiatus, original Blueprints members, guitarist George Deveny, bassist Don Paul Way and keyboardist Dave Liddy are joined on drums by longtime friend and collaborator Oscar Crandall. Blueprints has appeared in concert at the New York State Blues Festival, Chenango
County Blues Festival, Fireworks Over Central New York, Fireworks Over Utica, Little Falls Canal Celebration, BalloonFest, Munson Williams Proctor Arts Institute and
Kirkland Art Center.
